from 2014 up to todayMay 2023 - Oct 2023, Developed a Restaurant Point-of-Sales application for a customer in the United States with a fully remote team across the globe. Took the lead to redesign the payment flows to support more flows, reliably; and make the ui around payments performant.
June 2021 - April 2023, Programming for the strategic on-line game Planets. A.o. redesigning the UI experience for mobile users.
Sep - Dec 2018, Responsible for technical coaching at the LCM in Brussels. Besides coaching for scrum adaptation, I supported a team with restructuring and porting an application from Cobol to Java. At my own initiative, investigated testability of Cobol application and offered help with Design questions.
2016, Programming on the Global Order Tracking at Ford, Basildon, UK. Took the lead in replacing version control, build- and CI-tooling, which reduced the dependency on test-servers and shortened time to deliver new features. Did a database performance analysis, and solved the performance problems.
- Introduced User Stories to bring the designers, developers and testers together at an earlier stage, which brought huge reduction in time-to-delivery of features.
- Built a testing framework to connect User Stories via Cucumber to the 'green screens' of the AS400 systems and RPG software.
- Developed a two-day course for this testing framework and gave it several times to developers within STC.
- Introduced Kanban with WIP limits, which made defect handling more predictable and faster.
- Analyzed maintainability and extendability of AS400 applications.
Nov 2013, Built a Christmas setup with Philips Hue lamps in the O2-flagstore at the Kurfürstendamm, Berlin .

Oct 2006 - Dec 2012, most important projects:Built an interactive kaleidoscope with Philips Hue lamps for Glow 2012.
- Applied Agile software development and Agile Architecting in a clinical trial that adhered to the Medical Device Directive.
- Replaced the implementation of the medical UI which enabled (10x) faster development and testing.
- Enabled Full-stack testing on the PCs of the developers, which increased testability and reliability.
- Executed a System performance analysis and solved the bottlenecks.
- Tested Research-code (MatLab), enabling usage of the ported (C#) version in the 2nd clinical trial.
